As the pandemic started and schools shut down, Lily’s parents were concerned about her learning. They were looking for an educational program to support Lily, and that’s when a friend suggested Afficient Academy.
Lily’s parents wanted her to focus on math, so she started on Afficient Math in May of 2020. She was so successful that her parents decided it would also benefit her to try Afficient English. Based on her diagnostic test results, she started at 4th grade, and in 14 months, she had completed 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade and is currently working on 8th grade. Lily is a High-Honors student and spends approximately 30 minutes every day working on Afficient English. Her success in Afficient English is revealed in the progress chart below.
Lily’s Progress Chart: Afficient English
Lily enjoys Afficient English and has lovely things to say, such as, “I liked doing the English course because the Language Arts section broadened my views on literature. Vocabulary expanded my mental dictionary, and Language Arts honed my comprehensive literary skills.”
Lily’s Account Manager is impressed by her persistent efforts, time management, and hard work. Her efforts have allowed her to enjoy learning while also reaching her goals. When we asked Lily what she would advise her peers at Afficient Academy, she said, “Keep the passion of learning. Even if you feel like you can’t do it, keep trying, and all the work you do will build up to something spectacular. You’ll look back someday and think, ‘Wow, I did that! I really can do it!’”
Outside of her academics, Lily enjoys playing piano, coding, and reading books. She is also the recipient of MTAC piano state honors awards. We wish Lily an incredible journey ahead!
