Hello Afficient students and parents! We wish you and your family a very happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year! We hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas break. The holidays are over, and students returned to school on Monday. Parents are also back at work, so it’s time to return to the old routine. For students, there is already a routine handed over to them by their school, and we know that they follow it. Here we are discussing your Afficient routine, and if you never followed one, now is the time to create and follow it.
Regularize the account:
First and foremost, ensure that you have continued access to your Afficient accounts. Some students take a break from Afficient study during the holidays and use our policy to pause an account. If you paused your account, now is the time to resume. If you need help resuming your account, please get in touch with your Account Manager immediately. You may also drop an email requesting help to math.support@afficienta.com or english.support@afficienta.com for Afficient Math and Afficient English, respectively.
Sign up for a supervised session:
Have you ever attended any of our online supervised sessions? These apply to our remote online students who live far from our physical learning centers. The online supervised sessions allow remote online learners to meet our online teachers, ask questions, find solutions to their problems, and learn new concepts they find challenging to self-learn. If you haven’t signed up for a supervised session, please get in touch with your Account Manager and ask for help. Since the availability of slots is limited and fills up on a first-come, first-serve basis, we strongly recommend acting on it as soon as possible.
Attend a Q&A session:
We also have regular online Q&A sessions for students. If a student has difficulty understanding a concept or is stuck with a problem in math or English, they can drop in the online Q&A session to receive help. These sessions are beneficial since you don’t need to wait till the next class to find a solution to your problem and receive help from an instructor.
If you are a student enrolled at an Afficient learning center, try to attend sessions at the center every week regularly. The instructors at the learning centers need to supervise your work to assess you and advise you suitably so that you can make successful progress.
Complete weekly homework:
Afficient Academy strongly suggests students spend at least 30 minutes per day per subject. Any student following these guidelines religiously will complete 100% or more of the homework regularly. The importance of completing the weekly homework assignment can’t be overstated; it is the most important marker of successful progress in Afficient programs. Regularly completing weekly homework assignments is necessary if you wish to catch up to your grade level quickly or go above and beyond. As stated before, it doesn’t take more than 30 minutes a day per subject to complete 100% of the weekly homework.
Schedule a fixed time for Afficient homework:
We understand that completing your school homework is your priority, and you must complete it on time. Similarly, completing your Afficient work should also be a part of your daily study routine. You could set aside the same time daily to work on Afficient’s assignments. If you attend the physical learning center or virtual sessions, keeping the same time to work on Afficient’s assignment will be easier. Spending time on Afficient’s subject daily is far more beneficial than completing the assignment in one sitting on the weekends. Learning math and English every day has its benefits, and maintaining such discipline will tremendously help your personal growth.
Establish a fixed place to study:
Similar to having a fixed time, we recommend having a fixed setup for doing homework and engaging in learning activities. Students often study at the dining table or in the family room while others watch TV or sleep in. This approach is inappropriate for learning activities that demand complete focus and concentration. For better learning and progress, try to find a suitable place at home, free from distractions, to use for learning activities.
Developing good study habits is key to academic success. Your goal is not just to complete your high school diploma but also to get into your dream college, study the subjects of your choice, and build strong academic credentials that will help you throughout your professional career. By following the above advice, we are confident you will make significant progress and succeed at Afficient Academy. We wish you the best for your continued journey at Afficient Academy and beyond.
